The Square
& Straight Edge Leveling/Alignment kit aids the technician
in mechanically aligning a 2-3 inch wide square or straight
edge to the axis being tested. The artifact is cradled
between the pivot support and the cradle support. Adjusting
the jackscrew on the cradle support will raise the end
of the artifact up to .09 inches or lower it by up to
.10 inches. Thumbscrews hold the artifact in position
and slots in the support plates allow them to be clamped
to the worktable.
