Mahr Federal Differential Electronic Level System
Mahr Federal
Differential Level System operates simultaneously with
a single 832 amplifier, permitting comparison between
two surfaces. The Mahr Federal Electronic Levels complement
the Renishaw ML10 Laser System, providing a suitable
gage for measuring machine tool roll, pitch, and yaw.
The electronic levels are an excellent diagnostic tool.
The electronic levels can be used to identify angular
lost motion caused by loose gibs. Their sensivity to
changes in positioning velocity combined with their
oil dampening aids in identifying stick slip problems,
machine way covers hanging up, and way lubrication problems.
The electronic levels can also be used to measure surface
flatness and profile straightness. The built-in adjustable
base permits setup on surfaces that are out of level
or square by as much as ±1.5º.
The Electronic Levels also complement the AG Davis Rotary
Calibration System, enabling off-axis measurement of
Trunion mounted rotaries and spindles.
Each system includes:
- One 832 F amplifier
with power module and storage case.
- Two EGH-2013-W2 electronic
level heads with 6m/20ft cables.
- Two EAT-1029 adjustable
bases.
- One ECB-1871 remote
data entry hand switch with 6m/20ft. cable.
- Two spindle mounting
blocks utilizing 16mm/.625 inch bar for mounting.
- One RS232 interface
cable. Part Number MDC-1000-15
Part Number MDC-1000-15
Additional accessories for the Electronic Levels
|
| EAT-1054
Magnetic Base |
Incorporates
a magnet to fix the level head in position, providing
stability when mounted on a moving carriage. |
| EAT-1055
VEE Base |
Has
a 120º Vee precision ground into the 102mm/4in base for
measuring the straightness or alignment of cylindrical
surfaces. |
| EA-1056
Right Angle |
Has
two 152mm/6in surfaces, accurately ground to 90º, to simplify
measuring flatness on horizontal or vertical and cylindrical
surfaces. Each adjacent pair of faces is square to within
0.5µ/25µin. Attachment includes 120Vee face, which is
parallel to its base. |
| EAT-1057
Adjustable Base |
A
three-pad base lets you adjust the distance between the
pads from 50mm/2in to 203mm/8in when using the "Grid"
or "Union Jack" measuring methods. Can also be used for
straightness movement checks. |
EAT-1058
(50mm/2in)
EAT-1059 (102mm/4in)
EAT-1060 (152mm/6in) |
These
three bases are a three pad base which provides flexibility
to maximizes data accumulation for surface plate calibrations.
|
| EAT-1061
12 inch base |
This
base has a 305mm/12in ground, flat surface for leveling
machine beds and ways. It also has a 120° Vee ground into
the base, permitting the base to be positioned on a cylindrical
surface. When coupled with the 832 Electronic Amplifier
while in the inch mode, it can display inches per foot
as a direct reading. |

Note: Electronic Level
data collection and analysis can be performed using
Mahr Federal Software, Renishaw
Laser 10 Software, or the ML10
Data Logger, which are available separately.
